Are all of the characters in El Escape De Los Santos based on actual events?
The story in which the movie is based, did indeed happen. The script, the storyline and the characters in the film where all extracted from the imagination of the writers. Any similarity with real events or people (alive or dead) is pure coincidence.

The true live story simply inspired us to make a similar story and consequently adapt it to a film. That is the reason the sub header reads "Inspired by actual events".

Was there any fear in filming in Mexico?
Of course not. We have already shot several sequences in Mexico. The reason behind shooting in Eagle Pass, Tx, is simply because of the access we have to the majority of the city, from restaurants, to bars, to closing of streets, among many other things.

My last occupation as the host and producer of the Anti-Show on TVAW, has permitted me in having very good relations with public officials as well as people in the private sector, that have been friends with us and continue to support us in any way they can. They are proud and willing to help revive the arts in our community.

Are any actors or crewmembers getting paid for this movie?
All of the actors, actresses, crewmembers, locations, props, among other things are all doing the film on a voluntary basis.

What sort of equipment will be used for the film?
Commonly 35mm or 16 mm celluloid is used in a film. In this day and age, the equivalent of 35mm and 16mm are HD (high definition) and DV (Digital Video). El Escape De Los Santos will be filmed in a digital format with a Panasonic DVX-100, which is specifically made to produce films. The last successful film that utilized this type of technology was the horror flick 28 days later.

What inspires the makers of El Escape?
We see dozens of films per month... but there are certain films that we see on many occasions to inspire us.

Among our favorites: El Mariachi, Pulp Fiction, Amores Perros, Traffic, Office Space, Sexo, Pudor y Lagrimas, Matrix Trilogy, The Last Boyscout, Star Wars, etc, etc, etc...

Among favorite film makers: Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Sodebergh, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, etc.
